Getting started

Introduction

dotData is a comprehensive, industry standard service that facilitates data collection and data connectivity. It’s main strength is the flexibility in which to show stimuli and collect responses. In the typical use case this is done by creating questionnaires and collecting answers from them. Its development and use history goes back to 1999. We collect millions and millions of completes per year and are proud to say we are in the league of the most tried and tested tools on the planet.

In dotData you can create any questionnaire you want of any question type you want. dotData provides tons of pre-defined question types that you can put to work for you without knowledge of HTML, JavaScript or css. As such it’s a DIY tool. Should you want to build custom setups that are specific to your research or user interaction model, you can use our open architecture to invent anything you want.

Right. Now we’ve got the self-promotion out of the way, let’s get informational :)
